About this position
As the React Native developer, you will be responsible for the development of the Android/Amazon Frontend application following the technical architecture and design of our Amazon/Android applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure that our Amazon applications are built using best practices, meet technical requirements, and are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Your primary objective will be to create robust and efficient technical solutions that align with the company's business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities:
As React Native & OTT Application Developer:
• Develop the design and implementation of visually stunning and user-friendly OTT frontend interfaces for Amazon applications on Amazon OTT streaming devices.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend services and third-party APIs.
• Demonstrate expertise in Smart TV frontend development on platforms like LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen, Amazon Fire TV Devices and Android TVs.
• Optimize user interfaces for different screen sizes and resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate design specifications into functional and engaging Smart TV interfaces.
• Provide input on design feasibility and recommend improvements for optimal user experience.
• Identify and implement strategies for optimizing frontend performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure consistent performance across various Smart TV models.
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility by testing and debugging React Native applications on different devices and platforms.
• Collaborate with the backend development team to address any integration challenges.
• Uphold high coding standards and conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with the development team to implement best practices for frontend development.
• Create and maintain documentation for frontend development processes, including coding standards, best practices, and guidelines.
• Provide training and guidance to junior developers on frontend development techniques.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must Have:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in OTT application development, with atleast 2 years of React Native development.
• Proficiency in development of web technologies, using React Native and having fair knowledge on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks/libraries.
• Experience with frontend development on Smart TV platforms such as LG WebOS, Samsung Tizen, Amazon Fire TV Devices and Android TVs.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex frontend issues.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a frontend development team.

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience of working in Media and Communication / broadcast business domain
